Renown anthropologist Dr. Bill Bass unites with journalist and filmmaker Jon Jefferson to form the writing team of Jefferson Bass. Together they create fascinating and scientifically-sound mysteries featuring Dr. Bass’ alter-ego Dr. Bill Brockton. Brockton displays many of Bass’ traits including creation of the forensic training grounds known as the Body Farm, a tenured professorship at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville, and involvement with crime-fighting teams in the TBI. Unlike Bass, however, Brockton is a recent widower still mourning the loss of his beloved wife. As he struggles to deal with his grief, Brockton works closely with local law enforcement to solve complex crimes in which the only clues are often found deep within forensic science.
